After some weeks without sign of a improvement took her to another private hospital did treatment for her ,there wasn't any changes to her eyes. I went back to the general teaching hospital we were rejected, tests scans were carried out on her ,the result confirmed biliary atresia. I cried and was confused never heard of it in my life, w I was told it was late to carry out Kasai operation which would have been done at early weeks of life .The only solution is liver transplant outside Nigeria . Hospitals i have reached out to said is 26000 USD excluding flight, accommodation and other expenses. She doesn't sleep well always crying because she also have unblical hernia i always give her colipan suspension to ease the pain.mercy is not growing well like other babies at a year and 5 months she's depreciating in weight, doesn't crawl ,stand ,walk have enlarged spleen, higher bilirubin , itchy skin drawing blood from her skin due to excessscratches . Biliary atresia is a rare deadly liver disease , doctors have not been able to confirm the main cause of it. Please help me save my baby's life.
